"Hole In My Hat" is the first in a series of adventures of Matt, a pre-teen who faces many family challenges. Matt is smart & creative, a loner who connects deeply with his Grandfather.

"Poppy" owns a magical top hat which becomes Matt's portal to an alternate world. This kingdom has a different means of reckoning time, governance & society.

Matt is given a visa in which time his journey must be completed. Matt must learn the ways of this civilization. In doing so he meets an assortment of interesting characters and encounters challenges which result in jeopardy.

Ultimately Matt has a succession of victories that teach positive life lessons, which empower him. The principles are imparted without sacrificing the narrative.
